Wire Transfers

Wire Transfers

A wire transfer is a secure way to move funds between your Members First Credit Union account and an account at another financial institution.

Outgoing Wire Transfers

Members can send money to other financial institutions based in the United States or internationally. We charge a nominal fee for outgoing wire transfers and the receiving institution may also charge a fee.

Availability and charges for international wire are subject to the policies of the receiving institution, country and number of financial institutions involved in the transfer.

Sending a wire transfer

In order to send money to another person or financial institution, you will need the following:

  • Name and wiring address of the receiving financial institution
  • ABA Routing & Transit Number of the receiving financial institution
  • Name of the person the funds are being transferred to, their account number and their address

Visit a branch to initiate an outgoing wire transfer from your Members First account. Contact us for more options if you anticipate sending wires frequently.
