Summer 2025 Note From Our CEO

We’ve made it to Summer! In Michigan, summer sunshine feels like a reward; well-earned after powering through the long, grey winter. Just like the changing seasons of our Great Lakes State, life has its own seasons too. And often, like winter, those seasons can feel cold and challenging.  America’s Credit Unions (our national trade association) CEO, Jim Nussle, recently described the tougher times as the “mud puddles” of life. 

Think back - did you love jumping into mud puddles as a kid? Maybe you still do! I’m one of those people who can’t resist splashing through one. Judging by the thousands of members we’ve helped purchase side-by-side vehicles, UTVs, ROVs, dirt bikes, and ORVs, I have a feeling many of you enjoy it too. 

Why is that? Of course, because it’s fun, even thrilling, and also because we have a sense of confidence and safety. We trust the equipment we are using (our feet or vehicle) to carry us through safely. And so the laughter, joy, and memories we gain from these moments? They’re worth getting a little messy. 

That same confidence is what we want you to feel when it comes to your financial “mud puddles.”
