M1 Promotes John Pepmeier to Chief Financial Officer

Members First Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of John Pepmeier to Chief Financial Officer.

Since joining Members First in 2023 as Vice President of Finance, Pepmeier has been a trusted leader and valued member of the M1 team. In recent months, he has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer, providing thoughtful leadership and guiding the credit union’s financial strategy. With more than 15 years of experience in finance and banking, Pepmeier brings a strong understanding of financial management, strategic planning, and the importance of making decisions that positively impact employees, members, and the communities M1 serves.

Throughout his time at M1, Pepmeier has been recognized for his ability to simplify complex financial information, encourage collaboration, and help teams make informed decisions. Beyond his financial expertise, he is passionate about developing others, strengthening partnerships, and creating an environment where team members feel supported and empowered to contribute their best work.

As Chief Financial Officer, Pepmeier will oversee Members First’s financial strategy and provide executive leadership to the Finance and Accounting, Commercial, Card Services, and Payments teams. His leadership will help support M1’s continued growth and commitment to creating meaningful experiences for employees, members, and the communities it serves.
