M1's Financial Counseling Initative

Members First Credit Union (M1) is proud to announce that 98.6% of its team members have achieved certification as Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors (CCUFC) through America’s Credit Unions’ Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP). This accomplishment reflects M1's ongoing commitment to equipping its staff with the knowledge and tools to guide employees and members toward long-term financial wellness.

FiCEP provides valuable tools and skills to help credit union team members support individuals wherever they are in their financial journey and make informed financial decisions. By certifying its team members, Members First is ensuring its team is well-prepared to offer personalized financial guidance and advice to those they serve.

This initiative is part of M1’s broader vision to create thriving communities through increased access to financial coaching and literacy resources. The credit union offers free training, webinars, and other learning materials to support diverse learning styles, helping team members grow their expertise and serve members more effectively.
